So most of you thought Spring would be the best idea for a giveaway.. well I had a ton of these eggs from the dollar store so I thought I would throw together an Easter giveaway..... so here it is:
a set of Easter blocks, stackers, mini egg topiary and nest frame:
I love creating traditions with my family.. hearing your ideas always inspires me - so to enter this giveaway just leave me a comment with a cute Easter tradition. Either one you celebrate with your families or one you think would be super cute to try...
ok that's it!!!
The giveaway will end on February 15th.
as a kid, we used to draw names, and do easter baskets for whichever sibling we drew. silly, but some of my fondest memories!
ReplyDeleteSuper cute!!!
ReplyDeleteI think my most favorite tradition, other than wearing all the fun pastel-y colors matching my twin (when I was young) and now my husband (he hates it! lol) is the yummy ham & funeral potato dinner with fresh rolls out of the oven, surrounded by family. I love the meaning of the holiday and as a Mesa, AZ resident, I love to visit the LDS temple Easter pageant :)
I think it would be fun to start hiding activity "coupons" in eggs, like good for one day at the park, instead of candy, or money. danajeanward@gmail.com
ReplyDeleteMy family does an indoor easter egg hunt, cause it is usually too cold where we live to be outside.
ReplyDeleteCute cute! We don't have really any traditions, but my friend has some fun traditions that I would like to do when I start a family. They do this huge egg hunt with big bucks! Like 20's. And they also deliver baskets to all their kids, adults and all that live away. It's so fun!
ReplyDeleteWe have a big Easter lunch with my extended family. The older kids hide eggs for the younger ones and there is always the "golden egg" with money in it.
ReplyDeleteAt church, we have a cross outside and we take a flower per person and cover the cross with our flowers...it is beautiful!!
Way cute!! Our family is just getting started!! Last year we did Easter baskets and then had a BIG dinner...now that our little boy is getting closer to walking, we are going to try a little easter egg hunt :) growing up we always went to the "big" Easter Egg Hunt at the school.
ReplyDeleteAs a kid we always made home made chocolates!! As a mom we give a book centered around the Savior in the basket :)! LOVE LOVE LOVE Easter!!!
ReplyDeleteMy parents do an egg hunt for adults only, with cash inside each egg. We really get into it!
ReplyDeleteSuper Cute! Our big Easter tradition is dying eggs together and making deviled eggs from all those hard-boiled ones. So fun and messy (with little kids) and so yummy afterwards!
ReplyDeleteWe always bought the nasty, hard marshmallow eggs to hide all over the yard. I would hide them, and have my brother find them then vice versa. Sometimes we'd forget where we hid them but since we were kids we didn't care. The funny thing was when I was in high school my parents re-did the backyard and found some of those marshmallow eggs hidden in the fence we forgot about! Talk about gross, years and years old but looked exactly the same!! haha!!
ReplyDeleteIt has been our tradition to do baskets. I had them as I was growing up and couldnt wait to do that with my kids. I had no idea that when I got married my husband had never had a basket!! I now do one for him every year and tell him he is catching up for all the ones he missed. He LOVES it as much as our son does!
ReplyDeleteWe have an egg hunt for our big kids with $$ inside the eggs. Fun fun! Cute blocks and great giveaway!!
ReplyDeleteWe always have those giant chocolate covered marshmallow eggs with our names on them. They are homemade and delicious!
ReplyDeletePlease enter me! Our family tradition when I was little was to always go eat lunch with my grandparents :)
ReplyDeleteSuper Cute Lyndsey! We always do a easter egg hunt and a big dinner!
ReplyDeleteI have had the same Easter Basket since I was born ( I am 31 now). My mom has re painted it and added differnt things to it. She is coming to my house this year for Easter and I have already made sure the basket is coming. It is something very comforting to see it each year.
ReplyDeleteI LOVE the blocks! Do you use vinyl for the letters?
ReplyDeleteOur whole extended family goes camping every year. The kids color eggs and we put candy and money in the plastic eggs and they hunt them. The Easter Bunny always delivers a basket for the kids as well. Fun just being with the family. Doesn't happen all that often as families grow and grow.
That's so pretty!
ReplyDeleteWhen I was young, my grampa would make a wreath basket out of cedar and cardboard. We'd fill the space in the centre with that crazy coloured nesting material and that's where the Easter Bunny would deposit our candy. I really miss my grampa. He died just months before I found out I was pregnant for the first time, so his Easter wreath basket tradition is one that I now carry on for my boys.
Well, we try to keep the religous part of Easter in our home. So we watch "The Lamb of God" every year.
ReplyDeleteBut my parents have a huge easter egg hunt at their house for all the grandkids.
So our daughter gets a little bit of both the religous and non-religous part of Easter!
For Easter my mom always bought us new "Easter Dresses" for church. :) I plan to do the same for my little girl every year!
ReplyDeleteI seriously want to win this! Our favorite tradition is coloring easter eggs. The little guys make a HUGE mess but we all have a great time doing it!
ReplyDeleteWe leave a little trail of eggs from the kids' bedrooms to the basket the Easter Bunny left!
ReplyDeleteDarling blocks and a fun giveaway!
As a kid Easter was always our big summer gift holiday. We got our bikes, scooters, skates anything for the good 'ol outdoors. My mom always did a scavenger hunt with a few eggs and baskets, clothes and then the big gift at the end. I can't wait to start this tradition with my kids when they are old enough.
ReplyDeleteYour give away is very cute, you are so talented :0)

A giveaway!? YAY:)
ReplyDeleteWe dont always do the same things every Easter but we always have an Easter Egg Hunt for the kids:) Usually we have a picnic with the whole family:) I always set out an Easter Basket for each of my kids so when they wake up in the morning they know the Easter Bunny was there! (kinda like a santa thing:)) I just put candy and maybe a special toy in the basket:) Alot of the time we go camping to Roosevelt (AZ) its always so warm and BEAUTIFUL on the Desert that time of year! Oh and of course i always have to have a cadbury egg!:) its just not Easter til i eat one!:)
My husband and I fill the kids Easter Baskets, then we hide them somewhere in the house. They get to wake up and find them. They love to do this:) So fun! I would love to win!!

I have 1 yr old twins and would love to start new traditions with them. I think making the whole day about the holiday theme would be fun. Bunny shaped pancakes, eat a leafy green lunch, play pin the tail on the bunny things like that!
ReplyDeleteI am so glad I found your blog today, you have the cutest creations and the best ideas. My favorite tradition for easter was when we met at my grandmothers house for dinner and our big easter egg hunt and she would put $5 inside a special egg. That was so exciting for us grandkids. Me and my husband have no kids yet and I am getting great ideas from the others that hav shared their traditions. Thanks so much for the great giveaway!

Easter baskets and hiding the eggs-every year. A fun tradition!
ReplyDeleteThanks-tootsweet61@comcast.net
Love all of it!!! :) We do an Easter egg hunt every year with real eggs. I always worry that one of them won't be found but the kids love to find the eggs that they decorated :) We do a big Easter breakfast as well!! :)
ReplyDeleteLove it!! Just the usual Easter basket delivery and egg hunt before the traditional Ham dinner with the family. It's simple but it's ours!!!
ReplyDeleteCute giveaway first of all, love it! Easter is always a fun one for us. My mom always puts on an easter egg hunt for all the family. She designates each kid a color and then hides a little money in some special ones.

As a kid my dad used to hide eggs for us every year, now he hids eggs for my kids. They love it and so does he.
ReplyDeleteSomething to try...I'm a high school techer and every year my students talk about confetti eggs at Easter time. We've always done traditional hard boiled and dyed eggs, confetti is something new and fun.

Super cute giveaway!!! My favorite traditions are coloring easter eggs and having an egg hunt with my boys! Pretty basic, but lots of fun!!!
ReplyDeleteLove the giveaway! My favorite family tradition is the big ham and potato meal we have each year(I have had to take on doing it for my husband and kids since we moved away from all the family). We also like that the Easter bunny leaves all the kids a toothbrush(helps with the jellybeans!)
ReplyDeleteLindsey, it's me your cousin Jackie. I am not entering your give away I thought that might be unfair but, I just wanted to drop a little message to say I love peeking into your blog and see what you are up to. We need to get together and create. See ya soon
ReplyDeleteLoves & Hugs!!
What a cute giveaway! I'm not sure if we do anything special, but I always make sure to capture a picture before we head out the door to church. I love how we all wear spring colors and make sure my boys are matching :)
ReplyDeleteSince I love egg hunts but don't love giving handfuls of sugar to my kids, I always fill them with marshmellows and raisins, and fruit snacks.
We always have a HUGE Easter egg hunt after church then head to my inlaws for dinner.
ReplyDeleteEvery year we head out to Simpson Springs for our annual egg roll. We all take up eggs and rolll them down a huge hill then all the kids run down the hill with their buckets and start collecting...Its a blast !!!
ReplyDeleteShannon
Every year we have a family Easter egg hunt-love it!!

I just love your fun ideas! Every year we do a big Easter Hunt with a big family dinner! It's a riot!
ReplyDeleteAt home we do the basic tradition of coloring and then hunting Easter eggs. However, one of the things I look forward to the most is each year just before Easter we put together little baskets with Easter goodies and a stuffed animal and we take it to a local school for mentally and physically disabled children (a lot of whom are also low income). The love and thanks we get from those children just makes our hearts so happy!
ReplyDeleteYou have such cute ideas! we have a few easter traditions, but this year I want to make those Easter Resurrection Rolls that are hollow in the inside. I found them last year Amy at TheIdeaRoom and loved them.
ReplyDeleteI would love to win your cute Easter decorations! My favorite tradition is dying eggs. It was always my favorite thing as a child. I loved coloring on them with white crayon before putting them in the dye. I love Easter!
ReplyDeleteOur Easter tradition is hiding the basket for the kids to find Easter morning. When friends visited, they, too, would have to join in the hunt for their basket. Lots of great memories.
ReplyDeleteThis is a great giveaway. Thank you for the chance to win.
